Influenza is a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. When more people get vaccinated against the flu, less flu can spread through that community.
Pain management is the medical specialty born out of the need for treating all types of pain. The purpose of this course is to discuss different types of pain, describe pain assessment, and explain treatment options.

Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness. Serious outcomes of flu infection can result in hospitalization or death. The best way to prevent contracting and spreading the flu is by getting vaccinated each year. To complete this certification, you must receive the flu vaccine or complete the health or religious exemption waiver.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that 30,000 to 35,000 people are killed and 3 million people are injured in vehicle crashes every year. This course will teach employees who drive on company business safe driving habits and defensive driving methods. Employees will learn how to identify accident prevention and safe driving habits, identify potential road hazards, and recognize hazardous driving behaviors and methods to correct them.

Many employers, churches, schools and other groups transport people in passenger vans that can hold up to 15 people, including the driver. Vans’ size and unique characteristics can pose risks to inexperienced drivers, as well as to vehicles and pedestrians around them. The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration estimates that dozens of people are killed every year in van crashes, particularly rollovers. Learners who successfully complete this course should be able to identify the hazards of driving passenger vans, identify required practices before driving passenger vans, and identify safe practices while driving passenger vans.

In this course, we discuss Antimicrobial stewardship, a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.

Suicide risk management refers to the identification, assessment, and treatment of a person exhibiting suicidal behavior (includes death by suicide, suicide attempt, and suicidal ideation).
